I’ll be taking a medical leave of absence from the studio and hope to return mid-September. In the meantime, the wonder of our planet continues to delight me. This photo is from NASA-USGS Landsat 8 EROS, “A mesmerizing plume creates a paradox of light and dark, brilliant and murky. The dark water of the Suwannee River flows from the Okefenokee Swamp in southern Georgia to the Gulf of Mexico in Florida. The river’s inky color comes from decaying vegetation at the river’s swampy source.”
